This is a copy of the standard factory preload data that was contained in FILE A on the 01/W FD preload disk. Although 01/W's can be reloaded via their Global mode, this data file gives you the demo sequences by Stephen Kay.

This file is a Standard Midi File and can be loaded into most modern hardware and computer based midi sequencers (you can load it into Windows Media Player as well) Once loaded into a sequencer it can be played out via Midi to the 01/W just like playing a song.
Connect the MIDI OUT socket from your PC/sequencer to the MIDI IN socket on the 01/W.
Switch on the 01/W and set the basic MIDI channel to 1 (Global Midi Channel) and set the System Exclusive filter to enable.
Load the .mid file into your PC/sequencer and transmit it to the 01/W. (The 01/W should display a receiving message while data is being transmitted to it.)
When all data has been transmitted you should find that all factory sounds and sequences have been restored.

This is a set of 128 General Midi sounds and a GM drum kit that can be loaded into the 01/W via midi.

This is a set of 100 new pipe organ programs & combis that can be loaded into the 01/W via midi.

Download the file 01wgm.zip or 01pipes.zip
Use Winzip or similar program to unzip to a temporary directory.
The data is supplied in both Standard Midi File Format (.mid) and MIDEX raw sysex format (.syx). The zipped archive also contains a readme.txt file with full instructions on how to load the data.

The file 01wgm.syx is MIDEX format and contains the raw Midi system exclusive data (Starts F0 and ends F7).
Note: Korg system exclusive is channel sensitive and therefore this preload data is saved using Midi channel 1. Please ensure you set the receiving keyboard to Midi channel 1.
